Journalist Eni Ferhati said that the investigations into Ilir Beqaj started in the summer of 2023, before he resigned.
He says that these were the interceptions that made SPAK suspect corrupt affairs and abuse of office.
According to the journalist, Beqaj has abused around 500 thousand euros only in the 8 practices documented so far by SPAK.
" We were made aware of this SPK investigation at the end of last year, where several checks were carried out and among the decisions issued by the court was the personal check and the apartment of the citizen Ilir Beqaj. According to the information, it is known that the wiretapping started a few months before Mr. Beqaj resigned. So he has been investigated in parallel for both cases that already have two separate criminal files. From an interception dated August 2, 2023, his second colleague Ermal Kurtulaj, who is also today with the same measure, communicates with another citizen: 'Iliri is leaving soon and some papers need to be signed, that's why I'm telling you', from this conversation says SPAK, there is a suspicion that the invoices were fictitious to justify the amount on the invoice, 35,200 euros. It is now officially said that only 8 practices have been documented so far where tenders or procurements have been abused, and there are about 500 thousand euros of money abused in just these 8 procedures ", he said in Now with Erla Mëhilli.
