The weekend that coincides with February 14 has significantly increased traffic at the border points between Albania and Kosovo. In Morinë and Vërmicë, a high flow of vehicles is being recorded in both directions.
The largest number of movements is in Morina, where citizens from Kosovo are entering Albania to spend the weekend in cities and mountain tourist areas. The flow continues today. In the other direction, citizens from Albania are traveling to Prizren and other tourist centers in Kosovo to celebrate Valentine's Day.
Border authorities keep all counters open and implement the agreement for expedited passage for citizens of both countries. Detailed checks are carried out only for vehicles with foreign license plates, while procedures for Albanian and Kosovar citizens are carried out at a fast pace to avoid waiting.
The stable weather and the coincidence with the holiday have contributed to the increase in traffic, turning this weekend into one of the periods with the highest traffic in February at this border.
