Albania abandons Bangladesh for workers... turns to India

The need for manpower has made Albania see the Philippines and India as countries with great potential for recruiting workers, giving up on Bangladesh. For SCAN, the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana, Nikolin Jaka, said that he has just appointed a person in New Delhi who is studying the labor market and free human capital in several sectors to offer to Albania, and meanwhile with The Philippines has just realized a fruitful initiative.

"As a Chamber of Commerce, we had an official visit to the Philippines, where the meeting was also aimed at employment agencies in this country. The delegation was also composed of the general director of employment and the deputy minister of finance. The meetings were oriented on how we can benefit from human capital. Meanwhile, from the meeting we had with the counterpart Chamber of Commerce and Industry, it was agreed that there is a possibility for us to attract human capital, but they require guarantees. They are interested in financial and social security and treatment.

The Philippines has professional potential especially for tourism, where Albania has a significant increase in tourists and in the industry sectors. India is also a country with high real potential. The Chamber of Commerce, after the research in this country, placed a person in New Delhi, who took it upon himself to study the labor market and the free calyptal to offer to Albania" - said Jaka

In Albania, the rapid development of the tourism and construction sectors in recent years has highlighted the need for more qualified employees and in order to respond in time to these rates, Jaka has requested the removal of barriers to obtaining visas.

"Although our country has taken steps forward in terms of recruitment and the provision of work permits, it is still necessary to remove the barriers to facilitate obtaining visas and work permits in Albania, always for that human capital that the enterprise itself will, but also of the Agency itself, which has the competence to operate in relation to human capital. We have had relations with Bangladesh and with Africa, but these have not resulted in successful recruitments, as there is a lack of work culture. Enterprises are seeing India as a better opportunity, as the hierarchy is well known, as well as professional human engagement. The Philippines have the same culture" - said Jaka.

Despite the growing demands for foreign workers, the influx may not be sufficient to fill vacancies, not only from emigration, but also from the refusal of local workers to perform a low-paid job. But it seems that Bangladesh has already been excluded as an opportunity to get employees, due to the lack of work culture and commitment of human capital. /Scan
