A group of residents of the Kënetë area have protested to demand the attention of state structures, as their homes are underwater.
Residents say that the canals are blocked and the water has reached a level of 30 centimeters in their yards and apartments.
"The water is not being drained from the streets and homes, because the damage is too great. They should come and see us, because we are at the mercy of fate," said a resident.
"No one has come from the verification groups to see the situation. We are isolated from the water. No one is helping us," said another.
In the entire Durrës District, 953 homes have been identified that have water inside and in their yards. More specifically, these homes are located in the former Kënetë area, in the 14 Shkozet neighborhood, in the Beach Area, in the administrative units of Manëz and Rrashbull.
There are 160 people sheltered in 2 rest homes, in the one of the Ministry of Public Order and in the one of the Ministry of Defense. Currently, 15 working groups have been established and are dealing with the identification of the damages caused by the rains. Meanwhile, 337 businesses have also been identified that have the presence of water in their premises.
Also under water are entire areas of agricultural land in the administrative units of Manza, Sukthi and Katund i Ri. There are over 100 hectares of agricultural land under water.
