Images from the ground show roads covered in mud and debris, homes and businesses under water, destroyed vehicles, families urgently evacuated and entire areas isolated by landslides.
Rainfall in the country this Wednesday has caused problems in Gjirokastër, Durrës and Lezha.
Various areas in the city turned into rivers, making traffic difficult and trapping residents in their homes. The situation remains problematic in the former swamp and Shkoza areas in Durrës. 18 families have been evacuated as a result of the floods.
In Lezha and Kurbin, the rainfall during the night has fallen with lower intensity, causing the water to recede in most of the urban areas. The flow levels in the Drin and Gjader rivers are reported to have decreased. So far, about 8 families in Kurbin have been evacuated.
This Wednesday, the Vjosa River overflowed its banks in the bazaar area, near the Mifoli Bridge. According to the latest data, the level of the Vjosa has reached 6.8 meters above sea level.
Flows continue to remain high from the areas of Gjirokastra and Përmet, which is directly affecting the further increase in river levels.

Durres
In Durrës, the problem is already in the area of the former Marsh and more specifically in the block around the Prison, where yesterday the detainees were moved from the first to the second floor. In Durrës, there are 100 apartments that have water in their yards and inside and 18 families with 60 people have been evacuated and are being accommodated in 2 rest homes, in the one of the Ministry of Interior and in the one of Defense.
Residents in Durrës have also protested today. According to preliminary data, there are about 800 apartments with water. They have called for compensation for the extensive damage caused by the floods. One resident says that this is the third time that the yard of the apartment has been flooded, while this time the water has entered the apartment.
He emphasizes that he has not received any assistance and demands that the state stop treating citizens like second-hand goods and that measures be taken.
Korce
Due to intense rainfall, the river in the village of Rrëmenj in Pogradec has overflowed its banks, flooding streets and homes. An apocalyptic scene is unfolding in the Dardhas area, also in Pogradec. The landslide made the village road impassable, causing cracks. The landslide did not even spare the village cemetery, below the road.

Mbrojtja civile ka njoftuar se prezencë uji ka edhe në afërsi të banesave në fshatrat Çiflig Shamoll dhe Denas të qarkut Korçë. Argjinatura është çarë edhe në përroin e Oshticës ndërsa prurjet e Lumi Dunavec janë po ashtu të konsiderueshme.
Vetëm fati e ka shpëtuar drejtuesin e një mjeti nga pasojat fatale teksa po kalonte në aksin Qukës-Qafë Plloçë, rruga që i ka kushtuar miliona euro buxhetit të shtetit por që sërish ka pasur rrëshqitje dherash e inertesh. Menjëherë sapo ka dalë nga tuneli, një masiv dheu ka rënë mbi automjet.
VLORË-FIER
Reshjet e dendura të shiut të rëna në orët e fundit nxorën nga shtrati lumin e Vjosës, pranë Urës së Mifolit në Vlorë, duke shkaktuar përmbytje në tokat bujqësore dhe rrezik për banesat përreth.
Niveli arriti deri në 7.1 metra. Deri më tani, raportohet për rreth 40 hektarë tokë të përmbytur. 13 familje me shtëpi pranë shtratit të lumit u evakuuan, ndërsa 14 të tjera rrezikohen. Reshjet intensive shkaktuan rrëshqitje të dherave në fshatin Vajzë të bashkisë Selenicë, duke çarë fillimisht rrugën dhe duke shkatërruar 2 banesa menjëherë poshtë rrugës.
Niveli në rritje i prurjeve në lumin Vjosë, shkaktoi probleme edhe në krahun tjetër të urës së Mifolit, në fshatrat e Fierit Çerven, Kashishtë e Ferras ku tokat bujqësore janë brenda argjinaturës përgjatë lumit. Reshjet me intensitet të lartë dhe të zgjatura në 3 orë pa mbarim gjatë mëngjesit nxorën nga shtrati edhe përroin Lunjë në Lushnje, duke përmbytur disa toka të mbjella dhe serat në Karbunarë, por situata sipas autoriteteve është nën kontroll, pasi hidrovorët kanë punuar me kapacitet të plotë.
LEZHË
Gjate natës në Lezhë dhe Kurbin ka patur reshje në intensitet të ulët, çka ka ndikuar në përmirësimin e situatës. Uji është tërhequr në pjesën më të madhe të zonave urbane. Në Kurbin janë evakuuar rreth 8 familje, ndërsa sipërfaqja e përmbytur në të gjithë qarkun është 3010 ha dhe 150 banesa të rrethuara nga uji. Konkretisht në bashkinë Lezhë janë nën ujë 1010 ha tokë bujqësore dhe 2000 ha në bashkinë Kurbin. Në gjithë qarkun e Lezhës ka rifilluar procesi mësimor.
GJIROKASTËR
Aksi nacional Gjirokastër- Kakavijë është i bllokuar ne zonën e Kordhoçes, përballë fshatit Lazarat. Ne vendngjarje janë punonjësit e firmës mirëmbajtëse të cilët po punojnë për hapjen e rrugës. Gjithashtu ka bllokim te rrugës Gjirokastër-Valare në vendin e quajtur Ura e Aznakut.
Bllokimi ka rënë në zonën që njihet si “Shkalla e Zezë”.
ELBASAN
Në bashkinë Elbasan janë përmbytur 5 banesa në zonën e uzinës 12 te ish-Kombinatit Metalurgjik si pasojë e bllokimit të kanalit kullues. Raportohet edhe për disa shtëpi të përmbytura në Belsh.
POGRADEC

While the river of the village of Rrëmenj has overflowed its bed, causing a serious and worrying situation for the residents of the area.
