The fire situation in Lushnje worsens. As can be seen from the footage, the flames have spread rapidly and it can be seen that the smoke has covered the entire building.
It is suspected that the fire that engulfed the 12-story building fell on a unit that sold shoes on the floors that serve as a shopping center.
It is believed that this unit has been closed while the fire has spread throughout the center. Due to the holiday, the center was quite crowded, but luckily it was possible to evacuate the citizens and staff who were inside the premises.
According to sources, the number of asphyxiated people has increased significantly. There are more than 20 people who were urgently sent to the hospital to receive medical help. Meanwhile, many citizens have gone out to the balconies to evacuate. The fear is that many more are trapped in the buildings and on the floors above. Fortunately, the flames did not spread there, but only the smoke, which created breathing problems.
