Analyst Agim Baçi spoke about the crime situation in the country and the work done by SPAK so far. According to him, the work of SPAK should have raised the alarm in Albanian politics.
Baçi said that someone should be held responsible when the evidence that the crime is related to politics emerges from the conducted investigations. He adds that if no one takes responsibility, this criminality in the country will never have a solution.
"There will always be crime and corruption. What should concern us is when these command the politics or when the politician turns out to have close ties, or turns out to know everything. Mr. Dumani raised the alarm twice when he said that a good part of the police chiefs communicate more with crime than with SPAK. This means that the spaces for cooperation have narrowed down a lot. In a normal country, what SPAK has done should have been a revolution for the entire political class.
What worries me is that it is being treated as if it is something technical. The reaction of the prime minister who says that I do not obstruct justice, this is not the issue here. Here it shows how politics has thought of justice, comment on it yourself. The language is very treacherous. When you say that I am doing justice, you say that I have this in hand. The Prime Minister cannot say yes, I will allow justice to be done. The prime minister in every country of the world takes his moral and political responsibilities, not criminal ones because for that you need facts, that even when they get votes they don't get them with facts, they get them with promises" , said Baçi for "Euronews Albania".
The analyst also stated that responsibility should be held, since according to him, when politics gives way to crime, the solution will be impossible.
"The point is that when the state becomes a party to this part, it is impossible to change it. It is very important that politics be distanced. On the ground, there are events that clearly show that they have communicated and still there is no strong reaction. I don't think that the entire Socialist Party in Durrës agrees that the strong should command it, but we are the ones who defend. If we remain silent in the face of an evil that we are aware of, we are co-responsible", said Baçi.
