SPAK has forwarded for trial the file in charge of cardiologist Edvin Prifti, who is suspected of taking bribes for 7 cardiac interventions.
Renowned doctor Prifti is accused by SPAK of "passive corruption" in 7 cases, "theft committed by abuse of office", "concealment of income" and "money laundering".
Doctor Prifti is suspected of receiving a bribe from the chief secretary of the Kruja Court, Manuela Mallakuçi, to operate on his mother.
A total of 250 thousand euros and 16 million lek were found in the home and office of doctor Edvin Prifti, a cardiologist at the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center.
