The Special Prosecution Office reiterates the request to send Democratic MP Asllan Dogjani to trial.
SPAK submitted to the court the additional documents requested by the GJKKO, while Manjola Kajana requested once again that the case against Dogjani be sent to trial.
Dogjan's legal defense attorney, Përparim Kulluri, requested time to file objections, a request that was granted by the court. The next preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 8.
Dogjani is accused by SPAK of "refusal to declare, failure to declare, concealment or false declaration of assets" in relation to an apartment of about 100 square meters, which he says he acquired as a result of legal advice.
But according to the prosecution, Dogjani bought the apartment for around 126 thousand euros, which he paid in cash. The Democratic MP has previously stated that the complaint against him was filed by the builder Ilrijan Çelaj, whom he calls an 'occupier' after previously suing him for robbing the public space in front of the building where he lives by turning it into a paid parking lot.
