Secret meeting in Athens, Karamouço reveals the agreement for the

Criminal expert Ervin Karamuço revealed for the first time the details of an agreement that has enabled many criminal figures to be extradited from Dubai to Albania, even though the United Arab Emirates has been considered a safe place for these elements.

Karamuço spoke about a secret meeting in Athens between the Dubai police chief and the director general of the State Police.

According to him, the police president - as he is called there - has undertaken to bring to Albania the internationally wanted Albanians who are in Dubai.

Karamuço also revealed the only condition he has set, stating that he would do this for Albania.

" As for extraditions, SPAK has put them on the international wanted list and that's it. Maybe I'm not allowed to say it, but a secret one-on-one meeting was held in Athens between the head of Interpol, the one who is the chief of police in Dubai, the president and the director general of the State Police, Proda. In that meeting, it was requested as an honor and favor for Albania, that all the people who are wanted by SPAK and who live in Dubai, be returned. This president took it upon himself and said 'I will do it for Albania'. He said 'yes but on one condition: 'Don't tell me who to bring first and who to bring last, I will bring them in an order that I and my police know,' and that's how it started ," Karamuço told Euronews Albania, on "NOW with Erla Mëhillin."

Karamuço explained that this is not extradition in the classic sense, according to known procedures, but a new form of extradition that is based on the 1956 constitution of Interpol, where mutual assistance between police forces is supervised by Interpol and takes the form of extradition.
