Journalist and analyst Ben Andoni has spoken about removing the immunity of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
He stated that the removal of immunity is not forgiven for Berisha, as he is an old deputy, as he added that the former prime minister has always moved with two registers and this was the problem.
Andoni added that Berisha should have avoided this situation and that he should have appeared in court from the beginning.
"Everything related to Berisha is part of his strategy. He believed a lot in his team. Berisha has played a lot with the small procedures of determining the measure. An individual like him is not forgiven for making such a prediction. A personality like Berisha should have avoided this situation. He should have appeared in court from the beginning. Berisha has always moved with two registers. This is the problem. If it had been faced from the beginning, I believe it would have clarified many of these links.
He would think in this way if he respected the institutions. In case you saw it yesterday when the decision was taken by the Constitutional Court, he and his team said that the institutions are under control. If you don't respect an institution, you don't have to say it's unconstitutional.
From the moment he was declared 'non grata', he took care to say that 'my court case is my personal case'. He has done the same thing recently. He has always said that it is his issue.
