
The fire situation in the country is at a high risk level in all regions of the country. The National Civil Protection Agency announces that the highest risk is expected in the regions of Shkodra, Lezha and Elbasan.
"Regarding fires, a "HIGH" risk level is expected in all regions. In some regions, a "VERY HIGH" risk is expected only in localized areas, specifically: Shkodër region (South), Lezhë region (North), Elbasan region (West)," the Defense Agency's announcement states.
Maximum temperatures are expected to reach up to 42°C in low-lying areas, while authorities are calling for increased caution during these hot days, urging citizens to immediately report any fires to the relevant local structures.
During the last 24 hours, 38 fires have been identified, of which 14 are active.
68 firefighting vehicles and 601 operational forces were deployed in the firefighting operations, assisted by the Armed Forces with 183 military forces, 3 firefighting vehicles and 3 helicopters of the Armed Forces. 2 Canadair aircraft from Croatia and Italy also participated. One of the Canadair aircraft from Croatia has intervened since the first hours in Synej, Rrogozhina.
Two Black Hawk helicopters from the United Arab Emirates Air Force are also available today.
Helicopters from the Czech and Slovak Air Forces operated today from Kuçova Air Base towards Gramsh.
