Theologian Miron Çako has commented on the serious event in Shkodër of the self-sacrifice of 39-year-old Alma Arrazi, who allegedly jumped into the Buna River with her 3 minor children.
Çako says that the mother committed a crime by killing her 3 children.
"You can't kill children. Suicide is a crime like murder. You can't sell life that cheap. We have a crime, a mother, there is no excuse for taking her three children and throwing them into the river. This is a crime committed by the deceased. Society should not turn a blind eye here. I don't have it with anyone, the one who is the cause should bear responsibility. Both have responsibilities. It is a tragic case. Maternal instinct is the most powerful instinct. It's logic, how can you kill 3 children", said Çako.
The theologian emphasized that suicide is punished by God, while adding that Alma Arrazi found a wrong solution.
"Suicide is punished by God, because you go against God! Suicide leads to hell because it goes against God. We in the Christian tradition have condemned it as the most unforgivable act. To kill children for the anger of the husband is a horror. It took a wrong decision in herself", said Çako.
