Analyst Ergys Mërtiri described Sali Berisha's call for students to skip classes as problematic and not at all worthy of an opposition.
In an interview with "AbcNews", he said that a political factor cannot be put on the side of children's unhealthy behaviors to form an opposition.
"I find it problematic that a political factor is siding with TikTok against the school. Despite the fact that I do not agree with the closure of TikTok and see it as a political game and an attempt to solve problems with the education of young people, I see the problems of education as the fault of the prime minister and not TikTok. TikTok is a demoralizing environment for children, but more precisely the way in which children are socialized in a profound lack of control over what makes them vulnerable. However, schools and educational institutions must be at war with the means of communication to which children are exposed. Schools must strike a balance against social networks, media, rapper groups or subcultures that call children towards deviant behavior ," said Mërtiri.
According to him, a real opposition should deal with the real problems of children such as education and lack of opportunities, rather than social networks.
" I see it as problematic, but the moment when a political force or political factor takes the side of TikTok and behaviors that are unhealthy for children. I would like the real opposition to point the finger at the school, at the lack of proper work for children. But to see an opposition that is being made under the side of TikTok, what you call children's freedom for the means of communication, seems to me to be on the wrong side of the problem. What Berisha is doing in relation to his need for opposition in conditions when he cannot be an opposition, and it seems to me something weak that uses these phenomena to be an opposition. Children do not have Berisha's problems, and Berisha indulges the pleasures of children who are unhealthy simply for his own problems ," he added.
