The deterioration of hydrometeorological conditions in the Adriatic has brought restrictions for some vessels and fishing boats in Durrës.
The Gulf of Durres has been hit by unstable weather accompanied by occasional rain. The fishing fleet has returned to port awaiting improvement in the weather at sea.
The Port Authority of Durres informs that this hydrometeorological situation does not affect the sailing of ferries connecting Durres with the Italian ports of Bari and Ancona and vice versa. Only fishing vessels and those of low tonnage are prohibited from sailing under these conditions. The maritime authority has requested that security measures be taken by entities operating at sea.
The wind is blowing from the south-southeast with an increasing force of 5-6 force in the open sea. The situation is expected to improve on Friday, March 14.
