Analyst Andi Bushati has spoken about several signs that indicate there is a rift between Rama and the current US administration.
Bushati said that the opposition should not rejoice over this, as the Americans will not "gift" them power, while declaring that a possible coup by Rama, for business purposes and not principles such as democracy, would be more harmful to our country.
"SPAK may be an American tool, and it may be agreed upon, but is it an American tool to regulate democracy in Albania, or to solve the problems of the Trump family, as this administration's pressure has been used all over the world? First, politically, has the US's relations with the Rama regime changed after the change of power in America? This is evident. We are from the position of the Biden administration, which said the Secretary of State how happy you are to have a leader like Rama, in an administration that holds elections and does not congratulate Rama, in an administration that congratulates you on the independence and the founding of Albania, reminds you of drug cartels and criminal groups. Even today, they were asked about Balluk, but they said criminal groups.
So, there is a break, it seems. The problem is, this break, if you look at the opposition, it has raised it to the sky. Maybe this pressure on Rama is not in the best interest of Albanians? Is it not in the best interest of democracy? But they are pressuring him to say you gave us very little with Sazan... This is the logic of this cowboy administration. An administration has come that will exploit the world to enrich the Trump family, the Trump administration, the businessmen it leads to negotiate peace between Russia and Ukraine. So we have evidence that there is no longer support for Rama. My unfounded fear is that this pressure or blackmail against Rama is not in the best interest of Albanian democracy, but to further agitate against a corrupt, weak and easily blackmailable Rama. The same thing is happening with Vučić. Maybe the day will come when we can say, "Is Rama going to get stronger to resist the Americans... ", Bushati said on the show "The Unexposed".
