The mayor of Shkodra, Benet Beci, has declared that with the election of Prof. Tonin Gjuraj as rector, the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi" starts a new path today.
Through a post on the social network "Facebook", Beci emphasized that with the election of Prof. Tonin Gjuraj, the University of Shkodra has been given an opportunity to rise as an institution at that stage where every young person in the region sees education in Shkodra as an option.
The mayor also added that the University will be a worthy partner in the challenge of Shkodra's development.
" I am full of confidence that the University of Shkodra "Luigj Gurakuqi" starts a new path today with the election of Prof. Tonin Gjuraj as rector of the University. Grateful to the teaching staff and students who with their vote today give the University of Shkodra the opportunity to start a path towards revival, providing opportunities and support to every young person in our region who will choose education in Shkodra, to given the pride of a diploma with the name of Luigj Gurakuqi. Good luck to all those elected in today's elections. I am sure that now the University will be a worthy partner in the challenge of Shkodra's development ", writes Beci.
