Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has spoken about the decision of former president Ilir Meta to divorce Monika Kryemadhi at a time when SPAK is conducting a deep financial investigation against them.
In an interview for "Report TV", Spahiu said that Kryemadhi will take legal and political responsibility to protect the party and to keep everything from being destroyed.
"Ilir Meta is being investigated for concealment of wealth, non-declaration and some other offenses related to passive corruption. There are suspicions that there may be Russian transactions. Political divorce is another thing, Monika Kryemadhi takes the legal and political responsibility to protect the party and to keep everything from being destroyed.
When we have a crime committed in cooperation and especially by family members, one of the family members takes it upon himself to save the other family members. The weakest or a woman or an elderly person takes the responsibility as there is ease in applying the punishment. This may be a defense strategy. We are not talking about marital property, but about business, we are talking about accounts outside of marital life. "Meta has set up a strategy to say that Kryemadhi has kept the finances with account" , said Spahiu.
