
The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, reacted after identifying three serious cases of domestic violence.
In a reaction on social networks, Balla called on the State Police to increase the detection and response force for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls.
Among other things, Balla emphasizes that there is no justification for violence, neither at home, nor at the workplace, nor in public life, nor online.
"The State Police of Tirana and Shkodër have identified three serious cases of domestic violence, immediately arresting the perpetrators. I will continue to ask the State Police to increase the detection and response force for the prevention and elimination of violence against women and girls, and which remains the most widespread form of violation of human rights around the world! #NoJustification for violence - neither at home, nor at the workplace, nor in public life, nor online. Nowhere!", writes the Minister of the Interior on the networks social.
A serious history of physical violence and psychological terror was discovered today in Tirana, which for years was hidden within the walls of the house.
The event took place in the old Headquarters. 35-year-old Jetnor Zhaboli locked his wife, minor daughter, as well as his mother in the apartment, not allowing them to leave the house every time he left.
Another case of violence was discovered in a family in Tirana. The head of the family, Riza Sallahi, 66 years old, had raped his wife, as well as locked her inside the apartment together with his grandchildren.
The third criminal event was prevented in Vaun e Deja, where 50-year-old Petrit Lufi was arrested, who raped and threatened his wife and their 4 minor children.
