Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano hopes that with yesterday's interview, the tears, the bank statements waved in front of the camera, his story and that of Maria Rosaria Boccia will soon be forgotten.

Yes, this will not happen, at least that's what the Italian newspaper "La Republika" writes. Because starting today, another much more subtle chapter will open.

In the morning, a complaint for embezzlement signed by the deputy of Avs, Angelo Bonelli, will arrive at the desks of the prosecutor's office in Rome, the same one who with his denunciation started the investigations against the undersecretary Andrea Delmastro, today in court.

Maria Rosaria Boccia, who is famous on social networks, published several documents that she says show that she worked as an adviser to the Italian minister and took part in numerous business trips.

As Sangiuliano himself admitted yesterday, Boccia recorded several conversations, including private ones, with the minister and his associates.

But what do these audios contain?

"I can't be blackmailed," he said, which she immediately commented on Instagram as if to say that things are not quite like that.

La Repubblica  writes that the audios exist and they are numerous. Boccia was in the habit of recording conversations with his cell phone and in some cases he even used camera glasses (he also admitted it yesterday, claiming that it's not illegal and everyone does it...). Just as there are many messages that Sangiuliano and Boccia have exchanged.

In WhatsApp there are mostly "little hearts". The problem is the records.

"I don't think it's legitimate to use any private conversations," Sangiuliano said, not surprisingly, during the interview. And it is exactly the topic of "blackmail" that will take center stage in the coming hours.

Boccia claims that "he is a good person". "I would never blackmail anyone. I only told the truth," he said. But the question is broader. It's politics. And inevitably it is not just about him, but directly involves the Prime Minister and his closest associates.

It is true that the minister paid for the tickets, but there are two problems: Boccia was hosted by festivals, mostly financed by public funds, as a member of the minister's staff, even when she was not. She was provided with food and shelter. Is it legal? It also appears that on several occasions Boccia has traveled in the escort car without having any title.

In a television interview, Sangiuliano rejected claims that Boccia was employed by the Ministry of Culture, but admitted that there is a connection between them.

Also, he clarified that the travel expenses with the 41-year-old were not covered by the ministry's budget, but were personal expenses.
