Journalist Eni Ferhati has given details of the crime in Himare, where 31-year-old Eraldo Nevruzi was killed. He told Euronews that the incident took place in a hotel room, while the motive still remains unclear.
According to the journalist, Shehu, who has already been arrested, may have helped in the disappearance of the victim's body.
" From the moment when the police think that a crime has taken place, until the moment when the perpetrator is arrested, 18 hours have passed. According to the information I have, the police received a notification about 8 hours after the incident. This was enough time for the perpetrator of the crime, Gerald Shehu, to have taken measures to hide the crime. I have suspicions that he may have been helped by other people to hide the crime. The crime happened in a room.
This also explains the fact that the perpetrator and the victim had a social relationship. We must bear in mind that from Dhërmiu, where the hotel is located, to Saranda, where Gerald Shehu abandoned his vehicle, are about 70 kilometers. They are roads with potholes and so on. The suspicions are that the body may have been dumped in one of these areas, or even in the sea. The enigma of this event can be unraveled by the arrested person himself. It would be in his interest to at least clarify the motives of this event ", said Eni Ferhati.
