Today, Gazmir Preçi, the head of Durrës anti-drugs, arrested on August 15, 2024, will appear in the Court of Serious Crimes of Korça for a security assessment.
Preçi is accused of participating in a fine scheme against the owner of a night club in Ura e Dajlani.
According to the SPAK file, Preçi demanded 20,000 euros from the owner of a bar in Durrës, threatening that otherwise he would block his business. The investigations revealed that Preçi managed to get 10,000 euros in the first phase, the amount of which was seized by the police along with two mobile phones.
Through these cell phones, it is expected to identify other possible employees involved in this event and other businesses that may have been victims of the pressure of the anti-drug chief.
Gazmir Preçi, with the rank of chief commissioner, is accused of "Abuse of duty" and "Passive corruption". In 2021, when he was a crime boss in Mallakastër, he was under investigation for allowing the cultivation of cannabis near the Vjo River Bridge, in Počem, Mallakastër.
