He was caught with smuggled cigarettes, how did Kujtimi escape from handcuffs;

In Albania, where justice depends on recognition and not on the law, another case comes that will most likely go unpunished if we remain silent.

Kujtim Zema, the former personal driver of the mayor of Kuçova and the director of Albpetrol, was caught red-handed with smuggled cigarettes. Not in some dark corner, but in his shop, next to the Kuçova market, where cigarettes were freely and publicly traded without a banner.

Sources close to the incident indicate that the control bodies have documented the case with irrefutable evidence, cigarettes without excise duty, illegally imported and offered for sale as if they were candy.

But while ordinary citizens are punished for lacking a tax receipt, in Kujtim's case, justice stopped to ask "who is behind you?"

The answer is simple, Kujtim has served alongside local and energy authorities. And when you are "trusted" by the party, being caught red-handed is not a problem, it's a misunderstanding.

Senior leaders of the Socialist Party in the area, according to internal evidence, exerted direct influence to stop the arrest.

The prosecution? Silent. The police? Awaiting the directive. The citizens? They have already understood that the law in Albania is like a spider's web, it only catches the weak.

Will the Prosecution take action after this case? Or will this file also end up in the archives of oblivion, where the files of the "untouchables" go?

Meanwhile, the store is closed to outsiders, but suspicions are open. If there is no arrest in this case that is as clear as day, what else needs to happen for justice to be served?

Memory continues to walk peacefully in the city.

The cigarettes were unbranded, but the protection was politically charged. /Infront-al.com/
