The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, has once again visited the Trauma Hospital with the police officers who were injured during the protest held this Thursday in front of the Parliament.
According to the State Police announcement, Hita inquired about the health condition of the injured employees, talking to doctors and the officers themselves about the progress of their treatment.
During the visit, the Director General expressed his gratitude for the professionalism, restraint and dedication shown by police officers in managing the tense situation during the rally.
According to the State Police, 15 officers were injured during the confrontation with protesters, as a result of being hit with stones, hard objects and pyrotechnic devices, while they were on duty to guarantee order and security.
Director Hita assured the injured employees that they will have the full support of the institution and that they will be guaranteed all necessary medical care until full recovery.
In his statement, Hita emphasized that the mission of the State Police requires professionalism, courage and responsibility, underlining that officers will continue to perform their duties in accordance with the law and in service of citizens, with the aim of guaranteeing order, public security, protecting institutions and the rule of law.
