The residents of Rrjoll, who were arrested by the police the day before, were released this Wednesday.
Police escorted six people after tensions arose due to opposition to works that, according to residents, are being carried out on their land. The situation in the area remains tense, while residents declare that they will not retreat.
One of the escorts spoke to the media as soon as he left the police premises and warned of the continuation of the protest.
"This is the 10th time I have been detained for 5 hours. On Saturday I was detained for 30 hours. The Shkodra Prosecutor's Office has called my detention illegal. This is because of a police officer who likes to deal with me. We will not stop the protests. We will be there until the end, until we win. Nothing stops us from protecting our property. I do not forgive property, I have sworn. It will be our property, until the end, at any cost ," said one of them as he left the police premises.
The residents of Rrjoll declare that they will continue their opposition to the works and will demand the protection of their property through protests announced in the coming days.
