It is a day of mourning in Terni. The day of the final farewell to Ilaria Sula, the 22-year-old who was macabrely murdered by her Filipino boyfriend, Mark Antony Samson.
Initially, the procession will start from the Albanian woman's home, and then a final prayer will be made for her. The 22-year-old's family, friends, and associations against violence against women will be there.
The procession will leave from Ilaria's house at 2:00 PM and will then arrive at the Terni cemetery, where the body of the Albanian student will be laid to rest.
In recent days, flowers, postcards, and banners have been placed in front of the victim's house in memory of Ilaria and against violence against women.
Ilaria's father, meanwhile, thanked the entire city, the mayor and the police, and all the people for their solidarity with his family.
In Terni, as decided by Mayor Stefano Bandecchi, "flags will be flown at half-mast" as a sign of mourning. Meanwhile, in Rome, at Sapienza, classes have been suspended in memory of Ilaria.
Since this morning, about a hundred people have met below the house where Ilaria Sula lived with her parents.
Dozens of wreaths, bouquets of flowers and many postcards remember the statistical science student who died at the hands of her ex.
