UPDATE/Informative Edition 12:00

Readers of Pamfleti, we invite you to follow the noon informative edition, where among other things we highlight:

1. “It violates the principle of separation of powers”

GJKKO: We will not participate in the hearing for Balluk

The Constitutional Court has officially announced that it will not participate in the public plenary session taking place today at the Constitutional Court, regarding the Balluku case.

The subject of the review in the Constitutional Court is related to the "resolution of the dispute of competence created between the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, on the one hand, and the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, on the other hand", regarding the suspension of the exercise of the duties of a member of the Council of Ministers.

The GJKKO emphasizes that it has decided not to participate in this process, as it considers that it cannot be legitimated as a party in a constitutional trial with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania as the applicant. According to the official position of the court, in a democratic state of law, based on the principle of the rule of law and the separation of powers, a court cannot be summoned or included as a party in a constitutional trial to make submissions or to defend a decision given by it. Such participation, the announcement emphasizes, would violate the principle of the separation of powers and the internal independence of the judiciary.

2. "Balluku" in the Constitution

The Prime Minister and the Parliament present the arguments

From 10:00, an open session is being held at the Constitutional Court regarding the request of Prime Minister Edi Rama, who seeks the resolution of the dispute over competence created between the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers on the one hand, and the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime, on the other hand, regarding the suspension of the exercise of the duties of a member of the Council of Ministers.

The Prime Minister's Office and the Parliament, through their representatives in the Constitutional Court session, have presented their arguments because SPAK erred, exceeding its powers, regarding the decision to suspend Belinda Balluku from government positions.

Defending the arguments of the appeal against the decision of the Constitutional Court to suspend Belinda Balluku from her duties, the Prime Minister's representative at the Constitutional Court session said that one of the powers was violated.
On the other hand, the representative of the Parliament, Mimoza Arbi, has maintained the same line as that of the Prime Minister's Office, emphasizing that despite the fact that "the minister is not a person directly elected by popular vote, she has received the vote of confidence of the Parliament, which in the case in question was bypassed by SPAK and the Constitutional Court".

The Assembly described the decision of the GJKKO, following the request of SPAK, as a direct violation of the powers. "It is an intervention of the judiciary in the executive", said the Assembly representative, according to which such a case violates the balance between powers.

3. “Al-Nusra Front is investing in Sazan”

Kokalari: Money is being laundered

Evi Kokalari, an Albanian-American activist, has reacted through a post on social media, regarding the project of Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law, and the latter's daughter, Ivanka, for the island of Sazan. A day after Ivanka Trump's visit, Kokalari writes on the network that the main financiers of Al-Nusra Front, an ISIS branch, are investing in Sazan.

"Al Khayyat Brothers, Syrians of origin, based in Qatar, are entering Sazan. These are the main financiers of Al-Nusra Front, which is considered a branch of ISIS, and consequently of the current president of Syria. They have been sued by Syrians before, in the United Kingdom, for this financing," writes Kokalari.

The activist further writes that the construction in Sazan will be used to launder money from corruption in Syria.

"Any kind of aid to Albania today is blocked from all sides: on one hand, Berisha, who spends 10 million dollars pandering to Marco Rubio's people, on the other, Edi Rama, who opened the "square" to Ivanka Trump and gave her whatever she wanted and above all, for several years, we have been joined by Grenell & Kushner, as corrupt as many Balkan leaders."

Therefore, if Trump does not intervene to stop terrorist financiers from investing in Albania and to stop his own children from massively plundering Albanian territories, then we have no other choice but to turn to Democrats in Congress to stop them.

"It is naive to think that Ivanka Trump or Jared Kushner "felt sorry" for Albania.
We build Albania ourselves," writes Kokalari.

4. The "Peace Board" passes to the Assembly

Taulant Balla: Historic moment!

A plenary session has begun in the Parliament, where the agenda includes voting on the draft law regarding US President Donald Trump's invitation for Albania to be part of the Peace Board.

The leader of the Socialist parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, while presenting the "Peace Board" in the Assembly, described this as an unprecedented moment in its positive connotation. He emphasized that this historical moment values Albania's role in establishing peace wherever there are conflicts.

Balla also called on MPs to put the agreement to a vote through an accelerated procedure.
