From former members of Vetting to those of KLP/ Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination, 7 candidates in the race
At least 7 candidates have submitted their documentation within the legal deadline to the Assembly for the open competition for the position of Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination. What draws attention from the list of candidates are the names that have held positions in the Vetting committees or in the KLP.
According to reports, Alfred Balla, former chairman of the KLP, whose mandate was terminated after failing to pass the Vetting, as well as Genta Tafaj Bundo, former member of the Vetting Commission, have expressed interest in this position. Roeta Ivanova, a former employee of the Vetting team, is also a candidate. But the two former heads of the National Agency for Diaspora, Sonila Hysi and Ermonela Xhafaj, have also joined the race.
The other two names that have submitted the documentation are Brunilda Menella and Brikena Luti, thus completing the 7 candidacies competing for a position. It is expected that the Assembly will organize, through the line committees, hearing sessions with the candidates, and then there will be a ranking of them, based on the assessments that will be made, and the qualified names will be forwarded to the session.
Almost all the names that have been part of the Vetting Commissions, KLP or KLGJ, upon the end of their mandates, have aimed for positions in high administrative positions or in the highest echelons of the Albanian judiciary. Some have been lucky, obtaining the intended positions, including parliamentary mandates, while others continue to compete whenever a vacancy is announced for a position.
With the security measure "house arrest" / Mirlinda Karçanaj appears at SPAK
Mirlinda Karçanaj, the former director of the Albanian Anti-Corruption Agency (AKSHI), against whom the security measure "house arrest" was imposed by a decision of the Criminal Court, appeared today at SPAK.
Reports indicate that the appearance at SPAK is related to the investigations that prosecutors are continuing regarding the file in which Karçanaj is also involved.
SPAK has announced in the official announcement that charges have been filed against Mirlinda Karçanaj, who is under the security measure of "house arrest", for "Violation of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions" committed in the special form of cooperation, that of a structured criminal group and "Structured criminal group", "Commitment of criminal offenses by a criminal organization and a structured criminal group".
Head of OSHEE elected/ Mentor Hima replaces Enea Karakaçi
Mentor Hima is the new administrator of OSHEE. He previously held the position of Director of the Sales and Collection Department at OSHEE.

Kreu i “Konfindustria”, Gjergj Buxhuku, i ftuar në emisionin “Studio24”, ka paralajmëruar për një situatë tepër të rrezikshme ekonomike në Shqipëri, në kushtet e krizës energjetike dhe rritjes së çmimeve pas tensioneve në Iran dhe bllokimit të Ngushticës së Hormuzit.
Sipas Buxhukut, Shqipëria ndodhet në një pozitë më të brishtë se vendet e tjera të NATO dhe nuk duhet të mbështetet te aleatët për stabilitet ekonomik.
Duke përdorur një metaforë, ai paralajmëroi për efektin domino të krizës. Sipas tij, ekonomia shqiptare është veçanërisht e rrezikuar dhe mund të përballet me pasoja të rënda.
Buxhuku ngriti shqetësimin edhe për industrinë vendase, duke paralajmëruar për rrezikun e mbylljes së saj për shkak të kostove të larta dhe konkurrencës nga importet. Ai shtoi se kjo situatë ndikon drejtpërdrejt edhe te fermerët dhe investitorët, të cilët sipas tij tërhiqen menjëherë kur shohin tregues negativë. “Kur shohin këta tregues që rrënohen, investitorët largohen menjëherë,” u shpreh Buxhuku.
Në analizën e tij, ai shkoi më tej duke e krahasuar situatën aktuale ekonomike me periudhën e krizës së firmave piramidale në Shqipëri 1996-1997, duke paralajmëruar për rreziqe të ngjashme.
Sipas Buxhukut, ekonomia shqiptare po mbahet në këmbë nga flukse informale financiare. Ai përmendi edhe rolin e SPAK, duke theksuar se krijimi i tij lidhet me nevojën për të kontrolluar paratë e krimit që qarkullojnë në vend
Jo për postin e kryetarit/ Salianji, telash i madh për Berishën
Sali Berisha e ka goditur egërsisht Ervin Salianjin, duke e cilësuar të birësuar nga Fatmir Xhafaj. Me fjalë të tjera, e ka shpallur tradhtar.
Ky është një akt ekstrem, i cili do të kushtojë edhe më shumë në ndarjen e opozitës dhe në kaosin e bazës së militantëve në të gjithë vendin.
Sipas të gjitha gjasave, Salianji nuk do të regjistrohet fare në garën për kryetar të Partisë Demokratike, duke u mbajtur jashtë procesit.
Po pse e bën këtë Sali Berisha? A ka frikë se Ervin Salianji mund ta sfidojë atë në zgjedhjet e muajit maj? Sipas të gjitha gjasave, kjo nuk është frika e kreut të PD-së.
