Fire in the building near the QSUT
The 5 children caught on camera starting the fire are being questioned
The Tirana Prosecution Office has questioned the five children in connection with the investigation into the fire that broke out in the building near the QSUT on April 14.
The children questioned were recorded by security cameras near the cardboard bin, which is suspected to have been the source of the fire.
The questioning of the minors, residents of the building, was done in the presence of psychologists and parents.
They have stated that they did not do anything intentionally. They have claimed that they saw a vase near the cardboard bin that was emitting smoke.
According to sources close to the investigation group, the scientific expert report on the cause of the fire has not yet been completed.
So far, Razie Sula, Agron Cara, Enver Ademi and Altin Furtuna are being investigated for the incident under the security measure "compulsion to appear" for "violation of fire protection regulations".
The incident occurred on April 14, when 30 apartments were destroyed by a fire that engulfed the building.
Call Center Scams
"Officials and institutions are also involved in the knowledge"
Journalist Elton Qyno has made strong accusations regarding the operation of fraudulent schemes through call centers in Albania, as well as the role of state institutions in the face of this phenomenon.
Qyno stated that thousands of young people have been involved in fraudulent activities targeting citizens abroad, using large databases of personal data, which, according to him, were obtained illegally.
The journalist questioned the stance of Albanian institutions, suggesting that the lack of intervention is related to the fact that the victims are abroad and there are no direct complaints in Albania. According to him, this has created a climate of tolerance towards illegal activity.
The journalist also alluded to possible benefits from various state structures, including the police and the tax administration, noting that there may be knowledge of the activity. He also mentioned a case of appointment to the administration, noting that a person connected to this phenomenon had become part of state institutions.
Lawyer's warning
"Albania's entry into the EU will double immigration and increase prices"
Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has stated that Albania's entry into the European Union will double emigration from our country to EU countries.
He said that a large influx of emigrants from the country also occurred in Croatia, after this country became part of the EU.
Spahiu further stated that if our country is to enter the EU, Albanians should prepare for a 'strong' increase in prices and the collapse of domestic production.
However, according to Spahiu, despite these warnings, Albania is moving at a rapid pace in the process of integration into the European Union.
"The proposal was made by Lapaj"
Media reveals opposition negotiations on changes to the electoral system
The leader of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, has spoken about the opposition's proposal to change the electoral system.
A few days ago, it was announced that the DP and small opposition parties have agreed to a national proportional system with open lists and pre-election coalitions.
The media outlet Euronews said the proposal came from Adriatik Lapaj's "Albania Becomes" Movement party. He stressed that this is a proposal that has been on the table for a long time and is a welcome one.
Today is a day of national mourning in Kosovo.
