Adriatik Lapaj, the leader of Shqipëria Bëhet, and two activists of this party, have been criminally prosecuted by the Tirana Police after they attempted to place a tent on the sidewalk in front of the Prime Minister's Office, below Edi Rama's office, as part of a protest that has entered its 90th day.
Lapaj is accused by the police of land invasion.
"Crime Investigation Specialists of Police Station No. 1:
referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against citizens AL, EH and AB, for the criminal offenses of "Land occupation", "Organization and participation in illegal gatherings and manifestations" and "Disturbance of public peace", an official announcement states.
On Friday afternoon, Lapaj, along with activists from Albania Becomes, attempted to set up a symbolic tent on the sidewalk, but just a few minutes later, dozens of police forces violently intervened.
