Following the extensive operation conducted in Vlora against a suspected international drug trafficking network, the head of the Special Structure Against Corruption and Organized Crime, Klodjan Braho, has conveyed a strong message to criminal groups and any official who collaborates with them.
SPAK has distributed a message from Braho, which states: " We will continue to crack down on organized crime with the force of the law, as well as any public official who collaborates or facilitates the activity of organized crime ."
The message comes immediately after the operation conducted in the early hours of the morning in Vlora, where RENEA, FNSH and the National Bureau of Investigation forces implemented several security measures issued by SPAK.
SPAK struck Inez Hajrulla's criminal group in Vlora today, but the fugitive himself was not caught.
Among those arrested is Rezart Kuçi, a police officer and currently head of the section at the Scientific Police in Kukës. He is accused of drug trafficking, abuse of office and participation in a structured criminal group.
As part of the same investigation, former police officer Hamëz Demushi was also arrested in Switzerland, while Flodian Plaku, known as "Pole Qorri", was placed under another security measure in prison, as he is currently arrested for another murder in Vlora.
According to SPAK, the investigations are also related to two mafia assassinations that occurred in Vlora in 2021, where Gentjan Qarri and Bledar Birçaj were killed.
Special investigators believe that behind both murders, the group of Inez Hajrulla is hiding, a character known to the authorities in Vlora, who has so far escaped 3 assassination attempts. Known as the strongman of Vlora, Hajrulla escaped the police this Saturday, when dozens of forces, RENEA, FNSH and BKH, landed on the orders of SPAK at 4 in the morning in the coastal city to arrest him, but they were unsuccessful in 6 hours of action and checks. /Pamphlet
