Prime Minister Edi Rama has opened another front of war with justice today. After the accusations against the Tirana Prosecutor's Office and then against SPAK, today he attacked Shkodra Prosecutor Elsa Gjeli.
The cause was the construction of several cabins in Theth, which have encroached on the green zone. Rama accused the prosecutor of refusing to register criminal proceedings in the case.
But who is Elsa Gjeli? She was born in Elbasan in 1988. She then studied law and held state positions. From 2021 to 2024 she was a student at the School of Magistrates. While on July 18, 2024 she was appointed prosecutor in Shkodër. So it has been 1 year since she entered the justice system.
In 2013, she was accused of tender abuses, but the investigations were closed by a court decision.
