Bedrie Loka, a mother of four, allegedly ended her life four days ago by drinking phostoxin.
She lived in Vadardh village of Sukthi with her family and according to the first reports, she was in a difficult emotional state after several fake accounts with her photos were opened on Tik Tok.
The 41-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital by her husband, who was the only one who found her unconscious in the bedroom, but unfortunately, he could not live.
Despite the reports that the cause of Bedrie Loka's suicide may have been bullying and derogatory posts on social networks, the Durrës Police are investigating a new lead. The suspicions are that the woman was abused by her husband and family.
The citizen Ervis Loka was accompanied and interrogated by the investigators, but until the morning of this January 6, there is no information whether he was called to give his testimony, or in other capacities.
Meanwhile, the brothers of the 41-year-old have been interrogated.
They have identified the sister's husband as a "conflictual and talkative man" and that the brother-in-law lived in Greece as an emigration and came twice a year to the family.
One of the brothers, when asked if he knows about violence exercised by his husband against his sister, answered: "He is like that".
Neighbors have told the media that Bedrie Loka was a working woman and raised her four children alone, after her husband got her pregnant and she was arrested and sentenced to 7 years in prison in Greece. The 41-year-old had become a father and mother to four children.
Meanwhile, the colleagues at the ship rope factory where the victim worked, have stated that she had a conflict with another employee and after that a fake account was opened on social networks that distributed derogatory content.
Bedrie Loka's husband has stated earlier that they had privately found out that the person who shared the woman's photos with derogatory notes on Tik Tok was her first cousin, her aunt's daughter. This citizen is currently outside Albania.
The Durrës Police and the prosecuting body are engaged in the complete disclosure of the circumstances of this serious event that shocked public opinion in the first days of January 2024.
In addition to the investigations for bullying and denigration on social networks, the case of Bedrie Loka is also being investigated for domestic violence.
The aunt's daughter allegedly published the video, details of the 41-year-old's suicide in Durrës.
The brothers of the deceased have raised suspicions that their sister was abused and bullied by the husband's own family, after the latter had returned home in the days the end of 2023, for the holidays.
