The images of the sexual scandal of the former mayor of Kukës, Safet Gjici, have gone viral even outside of Albania. In addition to distribution on 'Instagram', Facebook, TikTok and Twitter, it also became material for portals abroad. So one of the most popular sports portals in the world, 'Sportskeeda' writes that people on social media have been left speechless by this video.
"Albanian political leader, Safet Gjici, shocked the internet after a video of him in a compromising position went viral. The mayor of Kukës is seen in intimate moments with an unidentified woman in his office. He announced his resignation after the video made its rounds on the Internet. Since then, social media users have reacted by expressing their disbelief," the portal writes.
According to the media, some are comparing Gjici with Bill Clinton. The portal further emphasizes that it is not the first time that an Albanian political leader is involved in a sexual scandal. According to them, earlier there was another mayor, Shukri Xhelili, who lost his post due to a similar incident.
