Active fires continue in the forests of Pishporo in Fier, firefighters still in the 'war' with the flames

For nine days, the forest massif in Pishë-Poro and Darëzeze continues to be under the 'power' of flames. Although the situation has normalized, there are still active outbreaks, for which work is being done to extinguish them.

It is learned that 100 army forces and 7 fire engines are working to put out the fire in the hearths located in the soft pine forest.

The fire caused great damage, burning about 700 hectares.

We must emphasize that this area is part of the "Pirë Poro-Nartë" Protected Landscape.

Greece brought two planes yesterday, after the help requested by Albania in the European Civil Protection Mechanism.

35 firefighting forces and 7 vehicles are working to extinguish small fires in the interior of the forest. Some of them are reactivated with the help of the wind in the area.
