After the meeting of the dialogue group for the Electoral Reform Commission, Damian Gjiknuri said that the option supported by the SP is for the diaspora to vote by mail.
He emphasized that the variant proposed by the CEC has many elements and in this context several analyzes should be made.
"The CEC made a technical proposal where it introduced many elements of electronic voting. Remote electronic voting has many question marks from an integrity point of view. If we will go to electronic voting in all of Albania, this is another issue, as international experience suggests, electronic voting will become partial. The most sensitive and potential variant remains the classic variant of voting by mail", he said.
Furthermore, Gjiknuri stated that Albanians can vote through a reliable postal system.
"SP is on the principle that every Albanian who lives abroad, who undergoes two or three normal verification steps, related to his identity and addresses, and through a reliable postal system, can vote," he said.
