But despite Rama and Balla's attempts to calm the situation, around 15 SP candidates on open lists have requested from the CEC today the footage from the Olympic Park, where the diaspora votes were counted, as they suspect that there was manipulation within the party.
The Socialist Party has erupted in internal conflicts between open list candidates. Numerous accusations of vote-stealing within the party have been going on since Thursday in the Socialist Party, when the counting of candidates' votes in the Olympic Park began.
The quarrel between the SP candidates has erupted in the Whatsapp group and initially the leader of the diaspora in the SP, Taulant Balla, assured the candidates that every vote will be counted with maximum accuracy.
He reminded them of the legal penalties for counters if they violate the will of the voters. He then commented with great concern about a candidate from the open list who was aiming for a second term and actually won the "match" at the last minute.
The harshest comment came from a well-known female candidate within the Socialist Party who exploded with accusations and threats. In the above rant, she wrote in the WhatsApp group: " I have the names ready for criminal charges against those who affected my vote."
Both of these messages were later deleted by the group's moderator, one of Tirana's political co-leaders.
At these moments, Edi Rama intervened through a voice message in which he asked for calm and prudence in the face of victory and called for calm in the process of counting the votes of candidates from the diaspora.

This has once again prompted Rama's reaction, who has sent another message to the group of deputies appealing for these candidates not to take that path, adding that there was no chance that the votes had been appropriated.
"Of course, I can't stop anyone from acting with their own head, but, given that here in this window we are still a team - and I want us to remain that way - I would advise against going down that path. Because, first of all, losing a race should not be a reason to lose face, when in fact there is no chance, zero, that with all those eyes on the screens, there will be vote deviations," Rama writes, among other things, in his message.
