"Pamphlet" has been warning for months about this political maneuver, Rama's attempt to capture SPAK, to make it "manageable" and controllable.
Just like the popular expression; "I crossed the river, I f*cked the horse", the Socialist Party, after securing 83 mandates in the May 11 elections, with the promise that they would not touch SPAK, has wasted no time in revealing its secret intentions to take over the Special Structure.
This was also noted in today's "clash" between SPAK head Altin Dumani and Justice Minister Ulsi Manja regarding the proposals from the Council of Ministers to establish a new structure to control the Special Prosecution Office. Dumani stated that SPAK is already subject to supervision by the KLP and ILD and that the creation of new structures would risk leading to bureaucratic overload.
But since his proposals met with opposition from Duman, Manja sent a "message" to the head of SPAK after the meeting, making it clear that the changes would happen with or without their consent.
Through a post on the social network "Facebook", Manja, of course with the blessing of "Bablok", said that the recommendations of the Council of Ministers, summarized in one sentence, were "perfect".
"Our recommendations are clear: more efficiency, more transparency, more accountability and above all, more trust from citizens," Manja writes, among other things.
Continuing with the beautiful words independence, optimal conditions and transparency, Manja gave his clear message, SPAK is already surrounded. The irony is that, in the name of independence, political control mechanisms are being established.
This is just the first chapter of the long battle for the fate of SPAK; a battle that will decide whether justice in Albania will stand its ground or fall to its knees before the old politics.
