Engjëll and Florina, the parents of the murdered 14-year-old Martin Cani, say that they have had no contact with the family of the perpetrator of the incident.
With tears in their eyes, they tell "Opinion" that they still do not know exactly how the conflict between their son and the author of the murder, Mario Perlleshaj, happened.
They have given messages for peace, while thanking the entire Albanian society for being aware of the serious event.
-Has there been any initiative from the family of the boy who committed the crime to have a contact with you?
Father: We want to convey another message that all those parents have joined our pain and this is very… it eases our pain a lot, they are all sensitized. From the side of the family, we do not know and how it happened, we are very shocked.
- Have you had contact with the police about how the incident happened?
Father: No, no, not at all. We came here from the hospital… to the cemetery. I find the courage to thank all the Albanians who raised awareness about my son, for the deep loss that happened to us, and I wish all the people to give smiles and peace to everyone, it is priceless. I want to thank the entire "Air Albania" stadium for holding a minute of silence for my son. I want to thank the AFL, everyone, all the parents of this world, I also thank my champion (turns to the photo of the murdered son)
