The murder of the 14-year-old near the "Fan Noli" school has shocked the entire public opinion. Pastor Paulin Vilajeti, who was invited to the show "Opinion" on TV Klan, which this evening also deals with this serious event, says that social inequality is one of the main reasons for these behaviors in society.
Pastor Vilajeti said that the feeling of being first is what is killing this generation and that closing social networks is not a solution in this case.
Pastor Paulin Vilajeti: I believe there are many reasons and I would single out perhaps three that I think are fundamental. Life away from God, the second is this inequality in Albanian society and not from the financial side, but in all directions and this feeling of shame. In the younger generation you feel ashamed and it seems like this kind of feeling leads to these acts where they take each other's lives.
This is the feeling of inequality and this is the feeling within this generation. This generation will be the same and imitate each other because they want to be the first and this is a very big disaster for this generation. What I feel pain because we do not stop. I think it is the responsibility of our whole society because social networks are like a weapon that if used in the wrong way it will kill you. Social media is not the cause of all this and not only that, but it's painful because I'm active on Tik Tok and it's amazing how like a child they insult me and have nothing to do with what I say.
I think this sense of being first is what's killing this generation, and I don't think shutting down social media can take the knife out of your hand and the gun out of your belt. We must sit down to take these things from you that they have in their hands. I say it is possible, but Albanian society has fallen and the parent should not allow the child to leave the house if he finds out that there is any conflict, however small.
Among other things, the pastor said that Albanian parents sacrifice a lot for their children, but sometimes this sacrifice is insufficient as he adds that if necessary, they should also leave work to be closer to their children if they have problems.
