Psychologist Denada Toçe spoke about the tragic event that happened at noon in Tirana, where a 14-year-old boy was the victim of a knife fight between his peers that happened near the "Fan Noli" school.
Invited to "Now" in Euronews Albania, Toçi said that the reason that such an event happened, and others can happen again, is a chain of problems in the entire education system.
She said that there are very few controls in schools, while most psychologists do not have the capacity to work with problematic teenagers.
"Such events will happen again. We have corrupted the system, nothing is impossible in Albania. You can enter here, and have a weapon with you. 14-year-olds are the age group that frequents the most cigarettes, alcohol and drugs, and they find these in school premises. You're telling me other teenagers aren't vulnerable? Do we know how a teenager reacts under the influence of narcotics?
In the mentality of the teenager, he thinks that he finds nothing, for him, stabbing a child is a game, it is gaining ground, taking the role of the strong one, and he thinks that he finds nothing. I am convinced that afterwards there is a guilt, it is a very big lesson, but it is a life-threatening lesson. We do not have this risk in the system. Here, the child goes out of school and there is no parent and no one to deal with him" , said Denada Toçi.
