Journalist Etleva Delia says that in Memaliaj there was an exchange of fire between two groups, where 30-year-old Endri Goxhaj was the victim.
In an interview with "Newsline", Delia expressed her suspicions that the serious incident occurred to disrupt drug deals.
According to her, the origin of the conflict is in Greece, where one of the criminal groups operating was that of Aleksandër Sadikaj, killed in 2022.
"It is suspected that it was a gunfight, there was an exchange of fire between the two sides. Shots were fired from both sides. Preliminary suspicions are related to conflicts they had over drug issues. In 2025, conversations of 4 criminal groups operating in Greece were discovered, one of the groups was led by Aleksandër Sadikaj, who was killed in 2022, who had brought close people around him, from Memaliaj. Based on this information, there are suspicions that it was a matter of disrupting drug deals. It also seems a bit of a coincidence, given the fact that the perpetrator was known for his friendship with Sadikaj. The other fact, the place where the incident occurred, in front of a bar owned by Sali Kalemi, Aleksandër Sadikaj's uncle. It is a large clan, they have several businesses in Memaliaj. The origin of the clash could be in Greece, for drug deals. Up to this point, everything is open.
The essence remains the drug deal. Unlike the Memaliaj massacre in 2024, this event has more data and opportunities to be solved. I believe that so far, this is considered solved, despite the fact that the perpetrator is wanted, with his brother. There are connections between people related to two groups. The most damaged group, Sadikaj's, has a circle of friends, but also family," said Delia.
