The United States Embassy in Tirana has issued a strong warning to American citizens, raising the alarm over recent developments in the Middle East and the rise in tensions following the escalation of the conflict between the United States and Iran. The announcement comes at a sensitive geopolitical moment, where the situation in the Middle East region is evolving at a rapid pace and with potential consequences at a global level.
In the official statement published on social media, the embassy emphasizes the need for increased vigilance for all American citizens, not only in the Middle East, but around the world.

"The State Department advises Americans worldwide to exercise increased caution. Following the launch of United States combat operations in Iran, Americans worldwide, and particularly in the Middle East, should follow the guidance in the latest security advisories issued by the nearest United States embassy or consulate. They may experience travel disruptions due to periodic airspace closures," the statement said.
One of the main concerns raised in the announcement relates to air travel. According to the embassy, citizens may face flight cancellations or delays, and temporary closures of airspace.
