New evidence has emerged from the shocking event that occurred two days ago inside the courtroom at the Court of Appeals, where Judge Astrit Kalaja was killed in the line of duty.
Ervis Kurtaj was one of the two people who was injured and a key witness to the murder of Judge Astrit Kalaja. He was there with his father, Rakip Kurtaj, who was also injured, as a party to the trial where the Shkambi family was also present.
Kurtaj says that the incident occurred at the moment the judge announced the decision in their favor.
"At that moment, Elvis got up from his seat and approached the judge, firing several times with his gun. As soon as I heard the shots, I grabbed my dad by the hand and started to leave towards the corridor. When we were passing through the door of the hall, Elvis turned and shot at us," Kurtaj declared.
Both father and son were injured and were immediately taken to the Trauma Hospital, where they received medical treatment and are now out of danger./TCH
