Sotir Kllapi, the Special Prosecutor of the "Meta" file, has entered the race for the head of SPAK.
Sotir Kllapi, who signed for the arrest of Ilir Meta, who was placed in handcuffs on October 21, 2024, is so far the 5th name made official as a candidate for the new head of SPAK.
The following special prosecutors have also submitted their candidacies: Klodian Braho, Doloreza Musabelliu, Elvin Gokaj, Adnand Xholi.
The deadline for submitting candidacies for the SPAK leadership position ends today, paving the way for the subsequent evaluation and selection process by the High Prosecutorial Council.
The new head of SPAK is expected to replace prosecutor Altin Dumani, whose mandate is coming to an end.
Interest in this important position in the justice system has been high, reflecting the importance that SPAK has taken on in the fight against corruption and organized crime.

19.05.2020 – currently – Prosecutor at the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).
December 2013 – 19.05.2020 – Head/Prosecutor at the Prosecution Office at the Pogradec Judicial District Court.
2012 – December 2013 – Prosecutor at the Prosecution Office at the Durrës Judicial District Court.
