Fights within the DP, Topi: Better no opposition, than a divided one

The former president, Bamir Topi, analyzing the situation in the Democratic Party, said that it would be better for the country to be without an opposition, than with a divided one.

In an interview for "News 24", Topi said that the opposition is in a newly constructed time and space. So he stopped at the union of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha with Gazmnet Bardhi, where he said that this union is not bringing anything.

He further added that this move only serves Berisha, who, according to Topi, also takes away Basha's strongest ally, leaving him in the minority.

"The opposition is in an unreconstructed time and space. Sometimes better without an opposition, than an opposition that distorts even the balanced media. There are countries that have no opposition, but voices in society, as we were in the 90s.

It is violently restraining the birth of rotations in Albania and this has been happening for years. Nothing has happened in the opposition, there is no will. I see that they consider what is happening to be something big, but nothing is happening, it is about the union of Bardhi's groups with Berisha.

Today there is no political consciousness, but the political instinct of career preservation. Bardhi sold the alibi of the union. For a person who is in politics, is there political coherence to their statements? This is why there is instinct and not consciousness. You go to bed differently and wake up differently.

What does that act of union bring? Nothing, the issue is political morality. This is a political movement, where A+B does not necessarily lead to C. This movement only serves Berisha. Today, it is in the position that Basha's strongest ally takes, leaving him in the minority ," said Topi.
