The new head of the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK) was elected Klodjan Braho with 7 votes in favor. Earlier, at the meeting of the High Prosecutorial Council, the platforms of the four candidates were presented.
But, for analyst Andi Bushati, Braho's election was predetermined, a process that he described as "a farce", and according to him, Braho is "the chief prosecutor of ambassadors, not someone who came out of the system and the KLP".
" What did we need this buffoonery, this theater, when everyone knew who would be elected, while they pretended to be testing an impartial candidate? If you look at it, it was clear what a buffoonery it was. I called him 'the chief prosecutor of ambassadors', not someone who came out of the system and from the KLP. Well, these people who know that they have nothing in their hands and read some speeches, that the prosecutor was elected by the Americans, but at least I went with the hope that this session would have some seriousness.
"I find it very funny to ask questions of that level to a person who has chosen to do this job. Questions like 'has this life affected you?' It was a kind of theatricality. What made it even funnier was the conversation with members of the judiciary government, which in large part resembled the questions asked to beautiful contestants in Miss Albania pageants. The entire process was predetermined. They offered a basic, superficial, mediocre debate, which did nothing but highlight the true level of an institution that implements decisions served from above ," he said.
