A large fire broke out today near the Lira Residential Center in the city of Berat. Persons still unidentified by the police placed several tires near this center, which houses people with disabilities, and then burned them.
After receiving the notification from the staff of this center, fire services immediately went to the scene, which in a short time made it possible to localize the flames and extinguish the fire, which was spreading rapidly.
Fortunately, the fire did not cause any damage, but as a result, black clouds of smoke filled the entire area, causing environmental damage.
Police sources confirm that work is underway to identify and capture the perpetrator(s) of the fire.
