Details of the wedding of Alex Soros, heir to George Soros, are being revealed. He will marry Huma Abedin today, in a lavish wedding in the Hamptons, attended by a host of powerful left-wing figures. Among the many invited guests is Prime Minister Edi Rama.
According to international media, Abedin, 48, the ex-wife of former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner and former adviser to Hillary Clinton, will marry Soros, 39, at the family's luxurious $14.5 million estate in Southampton.
Hillary, Bill and daughter Chelsea Clinton are on the guest list along with Barack and Michelle Obama and several European prime ministers affiliated with George Soros' foundation, a source told Page Six.
Some of the couple's celebrity guests will be flown in by helicopter from Manhattan for the festivities, which are also likely to include Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, banker James Rothschild and former Google CEO Eric Schmidt.
According to the Daily Mail, Huma Abedin was spotted wearing white at a dinner party on Friday ahead of today's ceremony. Abedin, 48, wore a simple champagne-colored midi-length dress with puffy sleeves and matching heeled sandals.
The groom complimented his bride, dressed in a light brown suit with matching shoes, as the pair spent the evening mingling with A-list Democrats, like Clinton herself.
The happy couple hosted a party for dozens of family members and friends on Friday evening at the waterfront estate of Soros' mother, Susan Weber, on Shelter Island, in the exclusive enclave of Dering Harbor.
Among those present was suspected to be Prime Minister Rama, who left Tirana on June 12. What is striking is that our prime minister is surrounded by the most ardent Democrats in the US and the "enemies" of Donald Trump.
Let's not forget that Trump had Clinton as his rival in the election, while in the last elections Barack Obama had a very important role in the Democratic camp and Trump's attacks on him have not been lacking.
