Firefighters, supported by troops from the Armed Forces, the State Police and with air intervention, are working to bring the flames under control in the areas of Çerkovica and Dhivri, in the Finiq municipality.
For several hours, officers have been engaged in the field, intensively fighting the flames and assisting in the temporary evacuation and escorting residents within the designated security perimeter.
The National Civil Protection Agency is continuing to monitor the situation and coordinate with local structures to ensure the elimination of the risk in the area.
The fire in Finiq is one of the active fires in the country, while high temperatures and strong winds have made intervention on the ground difficult.
